My first blog post!
Ok, so this is my first post. I know it’s supposed to be witty, maybe even funny. But hey, give me a break. I’m just starting out.
I first started the web site back in April of 1999. DigiOrb comes from Digital and Orb, another way of saying digital world or digital planet. I thought it was catchy, and it was the name I gave to my I’ll-get-this-off-the-ground-someday-technology-company that would house the IP of my inventions and home for my side consulting businesses. I started the web site to be a blog, and I had made a few posts way back in the late 90’s or early zips. I’ll try to dig up some of that original content from my archives, that might be funny some 7 years later. I wasn’t very good about updating it, as it was all manual HTML updates. It wasn’t difficult, just somewhat painful to keep up with when you have a busy career, personal life, etc.
That was right around the time I built my first mp3 player, based on Linux. I’ll save that for another post. Anyway, one of the first things I did was put some pictures of a skiing trip that Ted and Chris and a bunch of us took, which were kind of funny as there was a storyline to go with them. I’ll try to resurrect all that somehow for a future post too.
I won’t make any promises with respect to how often I update this. I’ll try to post something witty now and then. I’m on my second cup of coffee, and I think I’m going to go back and empty the pot in my cup. Starbucks is yummy.
Cindy’s first post
Hi. I’ve never done this before, so here goes. I’ve placed my first entry into Baby Talk, because that’s all I ever do these days - talk about babies. Mike created the categories, and I’m sure this one was created with Baby Barnett and me in mind.
I’m currently pregnant with our first child and on bed rest! It was a fabulous 29 weeks, and then I was having pre-term contractions. So, now, 5 weeks later, I think we’re ready to have the baby!

Created in April of 1999, digiorb.com strives to be the broadest and deepest resource on the planet for all things technology. If you want to know about technology, you come to digiorb.com. Ok, that’s ridiculous and completely untrue, but it sounds good.
