Sam caught laughing on video
Eventually it was going to happen. We had tried on two previous occasions to get him on video when he laughed at something, but as soon as you’d pull out the MiniDV he’d just stare at the camera with big eyes and do nothing. I guess the third time is a charm. Plus we added a little tickling this time to kind of help him along. This is just 30 seconds of him laughing for about 3 minutes. I had to cut out the parts where he turned red in the face because I felt bad. :0
12 weeks old and Father’s Day
Here are some pictures I had taken when Sam was 12 weeks old…Sam and I surprised Mike on Father’s Day with some of the cute ones!! He already looks older than the pictures - we can’t believe how big he’s getting. We’re enjoying his giggles, smiles and hugs!
Father’s Day was fun for all of us…Sam and I made Mike meatballs - they were delicious. Mike had a great day with Sam.
Everyone is feeling better at our house
After about 2 weeks of not feeling well, Sam having an ear infection, Mike sneezing and even Oliver with a runny nose, I think we’re back on the mend! Nothing beats having a summer cold. But we heard it was going around - we must have had the worst of it! Sam slept through the night last night…keeping our fingers crossed for another great night. Thanks to Nini and Papa for watching Sam while we were working this week.
We’re excited for a nice weekend; hopefully Sam will feel up to going to his first Italian Festival - a favorite of ours downtown. He won’t be having meatballs this year, but I bet daddy will eat enough for all of us! I’ll take care of the Tiramisu part.

Getting back into the swing of things
Well, today marks the end of Sam’s first week at day care! I went back to work this week and Sam has been enjoying his new friends at Miss Heather’s. Drew, Zach, and Liam have welcomed him with open arms! Yes, he’s hanging out with all boys during the day - this could be interesting! (Then he goes to family functions (both sides) and hangs with all boy cousins!) He’s doing really well and still sleeping great at night. Sam goes to bed every night at 8pm, and usually wakes by 5am. We’re so thrilled!
We’re excited it’s summertime - Sam loves going for walks with Oliver every evening. Mike and I are having so much fun together with our new family!
