I’m ready to eat something!

Posted in Sam Talk by Mike on July 28th, 2006 at 8:20 pm

Well, we didn’t think this would happen for a while, but Sam’s getting his first tooth. Check out the photo below. Just so you know it’s not photoshopped I included the original picture and then show the close up of it. Ok, that sounds dumb, who would seriously photoshop a picture of their kid getting a tooth? Anyway, it’s legit, no funny business. I have the tired eyes and beer-free hangover today to prove it.

Look at this guys!

Ooooo, this doesn't feel so good

Sam’s first “meal”

Well…we received the go-ahead from the pediatrician to start cereal anytime we wanted.  We waited just about a week (I absolutely could not wait) and tried cereal tonight! We got the video and digital cameras out and started in on it!  We thought Sam would go really slow, and maybe not like the cereal at first.  We were so wrong!  He loved it so much, he opened his mouth for more every time he was done swallowing!  It was so cute, he seemed to really enjoy it!

i'm loving this

yum-o

This picture was taken Monday at Nini and Papa’s house. He’s has so much fun there!

i love this place

Sam really wants to “sit” on his own and “stand” on his own. He rarely will sit on our laps still anymore!

oh! you're taking a picture of me!

Until next time…

4 months old and Sam gave us a present

Usually when it’s your day (yes, we celebrate every month…. this year) you get presents or cake.  Sam turned 4 months on Monday.  We didn’t get him anything (oops!) although we did tell him it was his 4 month birthday and clapped for him.  We took some video and tickled him in the hopes he’d laugh again.  But alas it was not to be.  He just squirms and turns red in the face most the time now when we tickle him.  Hmm, he’s adapting to his environment.
Anyway, the next night, Sam slept from 8pm to 6am.  Ten hours was a new record.  Heck, he even slept through all the fireworks going off for the 4th.  I can’t tell you how nice it is to not have to get up in the middle of the night (well, some of you know the feeling.)  And last night he slept from 7:30pm to 6am, or 10.5 hours.  Pretty cool eh?  Let’s hope he stops there, I like to see him awake sometimes, it’s more fun.
Heather took the picture below yesterday.  Sam’s getting bigger all the time.  I’ll post more about the new things he’s learning later.

Look at me, I'm Gilligan!
