Four fabulous years and the Bears are 6-0
We continued our anniversary travel-to-a-Bears-away-game celebration two weekends ago. We’ve been to Seattle, NYC, Detroit, and this year, Phoenix to see Mike’s favorite football team play. We dress in jerseys, tailgate, and cheer on the Bears to victory each time, but this time was something special. With about 5 minutes left in the game, Mike looked at me and said, “Let’s go.” “Are you serious??” I replied. Never, ever, ever has he turned off a Bears game on TV, much less, left a live game. But in this case, the Bears were losing, BIG TIME. I grabbed my backpack, he packed up the camera and our sign, and we were about to say “Excuse me.” to the Cardinals fans sitting next to us, when, poof! The Bears defense got a touchdown. So, needless to say, we stayed until the end, and even 30 minutes after. It was unbelievable. “Unbelievable” is what Mike said about 30 times on the way back to the hotel and has said that about 30 more times since we got home. We had a great time at the game.
Tailgating was great! Look at how many Bears fans there were - oh, and the beautiful mountains in the background. It was 87 degrees out.

We saw our fair share of dedicated Bears fans…including one very Gross Man.

We brought two signs - one made it in, one got taken by the security guards on the way in.

We also had a great breakfast with our Aunt Chris and Uncle Ken, had a great anniversary dinner, hiked to see the sun rise (thank you, time change), found our second favorite burrito joint, and visited the Phoenix Botanical Gardens.

All in all, it was a great trip and a wonderful four years!
Sam is crawling!
Ok, so he’s not a moving at the speed of light, but he did take a couple {insert official technical term for crawling here} Thursday night. I snapped some photos with the new camera, and Cindy was shooting with the video camera at the same time. He’s starting to get really mobile. I’m not sure what his fascination with Desitin is…

Sam visits the pumpkin patch with friends
Over the weekend our friends Rachel and Conrad came up from Nashville with their daughter Bella. We went to the pumpking patch farm in Noblesville. I took some pictures with my new Canon EOS 30D camera with 17-85 IS lens. The pics turned out great. The pumpkin patch was not what I expected. It was more like a giant fair. They had hayrides, a giant stack of hay with kids climbing it and throwing it in the air (think messy and sneezy, I stayed away), elephant ears, horses, a blacksmith who was blacksmithing stuff, and other wacky carnival attractions. Sam enjoyed the pumpkins. Look how pretty Bella is, she’s really growing up fast!
